Done!!!

Well, it's done. Just sitting around in the showroom, waiting for the paperwork to be finished. 2012 Suzuki V-Strom 650 ABS Adventure. Yahoo!!!

Actually, I bought a standard V-Strom and ordered the accessories separately. ( better bags )

  2. I ordered hand warmers, skid plate, hand protectors, Givi hard bags, engine protector bars, lower seat, and center stand. I like the Givi bags better than the Suzuki brand. Also, had to have hand warmers. Got real used to them on the beemers...

  4. WOOHOO! Congrats on the new ride.

Very nice. I like the white much better than black.

  5. Yes, I like this color scheme too, kinda police-bike-ish looking. Better visibility.

  6. Dear Dan:

I have done the ritualistic "Whiskey Dance" to bring good luck to your bike. Did you trade in the Beemer, or did you keep it?

Send me a picture for Twisted Roads.

  7. Ah...now things will go smoothly. I'd like to see a video of the Whiskey Dance. It may be something I need to do daily as part of the Pre-flight routine.

I'll send a decent picture as soon as I get'er home, probably next week. All the accessories should be here then.

Traded the F800 in. Got more than I was asking! I may have hinted that I have a mob friend in Iowa who would be unhappy if I didn't get a good deal...

  8. Fine look to the white V Strom. Have always admired those bikes, the 650 over the bigger one. So where's the first adventure taking place?

  9. Thinking of some short trips first, maybe exploring historical sites in western Iowa or the Dakotas. Would like to go back to Alaska with my son, maybe next summer. I went to Hyder Alaska in 2011. Never been to the Northeast either, Vermont, New Brunswick.
