Not a good week....

Not been a good week so far......

My wife passed away Sunday.

Ah well, what can ya say. Things'll get better.....

HOKAH, Minn. — LuAnn Marie McKenzie, 61, of Hokah died Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015, at her home.
She was born Sept. 12, 1954, in Decorah, Iowa, to Marvin and Colletta (Cole) Vick. She married Daniel C. McKenzie June 18, 1977, in Decorah. LuAnn had worked as a teacher at St. Peter’s Catholic School in Hokah, for 22 years.
In addition to her husband, Dan, of Hokah, she is survived by one son, Jonathan (Sarah) McKenzie of La Crosse, and their three children Jack, Luke and Scarlett. She is further survived by two sisters, Marilyn (Ron) Bonjean of Milwaukee, Wis., and Nancy Vick of Edmonton, Alberta. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a stillborn son, Daniel Scott McKenzie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11, 2015, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Hokah. The Rev. Pratap Reddy Salibindla will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Hokah. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 12:30 p.m. until the time of Mass Friday at the church. Memorials may be directed to St. Peter’s Catholic School. Online guestbook may be signed at
